International snowkite championship Marathon “Zhigulyovskoe more-011”

The stage of Russian open cup 2011

1. ORGANISERS

The event is organized by:

- Wind-kite-serf school “Sila-Vetra” , Togliatty city

- yacht-club “KHIMIK”, Togliatti city

- Russian Yachting Federation, Togliatti city

With RYF and Samara region Federal Agency for Tourism support

2. VENUE

The event will be based in the embankment of Kuybyshev water pool (Zhigulyovsk Sea), Samara region, Togliatti city, bar-restaurant “Zhara”

3. ELIGIBILITY

The championship will be held both in the team event and in the individual event at the same time. To take part in the championship, sportsman should send their entry form in time, pay an entry fee and consent to the terms of this NOR.

To take part in Marathon competition the competitor will be required to have: schematic map of distance (will be given during the registration), intact compass or (and) GPS navigator, and a mobile phone.

4. Date of the Event

The championship will be held from 2^nd of February to 6^th of February. Arrival not later than 2^nd of February.

Please take notice of the time of race. From 2010 Samara region is in one time zone with Moscow.

6. Championship necessary conditions

Each discipline includes two divisions:

-Kite-skis (male, female, master (age more than 40 years), youth (age less than 18 years))

-Kite- snowboard (male, female, master (age more than 40 years), youth (age less than 18 years))

A group will qualify for awards if there are at least six competitors finished at least one race.

Team: a group of 3 competitors (two racers – from ski division and one from snowboard division).

Equipment restrictions:

Aramid fiber (Kevlar) lines are prohibited. The participant has right to change his equipment during the marathon race if the equipment is carried by himself or it (equipment) is in the parking area.

7. Rules

The event is held in accordance with winter Kitesailing rules (version AKP 2004), freestyle in version of PKRA and FFVL rules, this Notice of Race and the Sailing Instruction

8. STANDING ORDERS

Marathon championship consists of one or more races with distance from 40 km to 80 km on compound (general) course. The number of starts can be changed by the judges according by local weather conditions. A minimum of one race is required for a valid Championship.

There will be one or more intermediate finish (waypoint). The participant crossed at least one intermediate finish (waypoint) is considered finished. However, total rank of such participant will be after all participants, who covered longer (more) distance. A number of competitors not limited.

Competitions on Freestyle will pass parallel way with Marathon championship. There will be serviced by separate team of judges. A number of competitors can be limited.

Start of slalom races (three races for each division, separately) will be given under condition of realization at least one marathon race and with an opportunity for freestyle-pilots to take part, during time convenient for participants. A number of competitors can be limited.

9. Definition of winners

The winner and prize-winners of competitions in individual event are defined according to Rules of competitions. The winner and prize-winners of competitions in team event are defined by the minimal sum of penalty points of all members of team of individual event.

The size of prize fund will be announced before competitions.

10. Weather limitations

Races can’t began until the racing committee will not make sure that conditions are favorable for fair competitions and ensure safety for majority of participants.

11. The racing instruction and the Chart-scheme

The racing Instruction and Chart-scheme are handed over to participants at their registration on competitions and also will be represented on bulletin board.

12. Entry form

Registration on entering the competitions will take place in the terms advanced by the program of competitions.

13. Liability

Each participant must have at itself a void insurance policy from casualty a minimum on 150 000 roubles (in the absence of that, it is possible to be insured for the period of competitions, during registration procedure) and to wear on a helmet of industrial production during racing.

Elbow-pads and knee-caps are recommended to be put on. Organizers are not responsible for property loss or damage, and also for death or any physical damage of the participant, happened during competitions.

14. Entry Fee

The entry fee of 500 roubles (for youth: age less than 18 years) and of 1000 roubles (for others,) is non-returnable and must be paid cash on registration desk.

15. Advertising

Organizers reserve a place on equipment of participants for advertisement of sponsors of competitions.

All kinds of the advertising effort which has been not authorized by organizers of competitions are forbidden.

Participants of competitions have can’t refuse dialogue with representatives of the mass-media servicing competitions, and should wear during possible interviews racing vests of the competition.

16. Accommodation and transfer

Hotel "SADKO"

Two-storey house on the embankment of Volga. 300 meters from start.

There are 15 double rooms, cost from 1000 to 2600 roubles per room. Additional place (bed linen for a sofa)- costs 300 roubles.

Transfer Samara-Togliatty, Syzran-Togliatty, Airport-Togliatty – on preliminary arrangement. One person-500 roubles, two person – 250 roubles each, tree and more – 200 roubles each, equipment inclusive. Transfer in Togliatti is free.

17. Financing

Organizers bear expenses on organization of refereeing of competitions and awarding of winners.

All costs on taking part in event are born by sending organizations or sportsmen themselves.

This Notice of Race is the official Invitation to competitions.
